In 2021, the Town of Wellston contracted with Survival Flight EMS to provide medical coverage to Wellston and the surrounding communities. This contract provided an opportunity for residents in the area to have local medical coverage for the first time in almost a decade. Previously, ambulance services were provided by the Chandler Fire Department. With Survival Flight operating out of the former fire station in Wellston, they are able to provide a quick response and professional services to Wellston and the neighboring areas in Lincoln County.
